This is an example of many dashboards I have designed over the years. This showcases different nested components that could easily be adjusted to iterate the design productively when needed.
The reusable components have multiple variants to showcase both interactivity (Hover & Selection) as well as states of the elements like cards with no data, or with different data structures when collapsed or espanded.
This second example showcases a long dashboard with more widgets since the feature gives the end user the ability to customize their dashboard by adding more widgets and reordering as they wish. A prototype was built to fully walk the user through navigating the different widgets clicking to sea more details and setting up their widgets. See the settings interface below. 
Below is the design of the UI that admin users (different persona from the ones viewing the dashboard) use to set up the dashboard screens for the different user roles. Each user role will have access to certain tabs. Admin users drag widgets and place them in different sections. They design a template using mostly drag and drop without any training.
